Competencies, pathfinders and more ... O my!
WebJunction has identified general competencies for library staff at all levels. A new feature on WebJunction Idaho is now access to "guides" for finding information related to individual competencies on WebJunction Idaho. This includes content, discussions, courses, and outside links.

Coeur d'Alene Public Library nominated for national medal
Congratulations to Coeur d'Alene Public Library, which has been nominated for a National Medal for Museum and Library Service. Democrat Congressman Walt Minnick nominated the library, calling it “a shining example of the great things that happen when a community comes together to work toward a common goal.”

Showcasing Success at the Read to Me meeting
Libraries participating in First Book, Every Child Ready to Read, and mini-grants sites have been invited to participate in the 2-day Read to Me meeting, Showcasing Success. The meeting will be held in Boise at the Oxford Suites on March 5-6, 2009. Libraries need to register by February 5th.
