Zines in Idaho libraries?
Does your library have a zine collection or host workshops on zines? Zine is short for magazines and the name's brevity also implies some content. Zines are shorter than magazines, and more personal.

Thoughts on Partnerships
Who writes the prompts for the "Blog Topic of the Moment"? I am a little sorry for that writer, because our library community is slow to respond. I'm here to tell the poster -- don't worry, we'll catch on!
My thoughts on partnerships:
* More minds make for better overall results for any project
* More hands makes for more fun and less overwhelming tasks

Stacks in the news!
State Librarian Ann Joslin presented to the Senate Affairs Committee and was picked up by the Associated Press as breaking news! Stacks is breaking news! So cool... http://www.localnews8.com/Global/story.asp?S=9867713&nav=menu554_1_1
We're collecting state documents, though, and not public records!

Blog Post Numero Uno
Welcome to the ICFL interactive web world...my first entrance into the realm of blogging with and for librarians....sweet!
Currently reading Little Brother by Cory Doctorow and Micro-EcoFarming by Barbara Berst-Adams. I believe that the topics presented in the two books (privacy, self-sustainable farming) represent a true path to freedom.

Stacks Stats
Can you say, "Stacks Stats" ten times fast?
Stacks is the new name for the Idaho Digital Repository! Think of the stacks and stacks of information, all easily findable with a quick search. We harvest the digital content on all of the state's web sites and make them findable, too.

Does your library have a webcam?
I'm working on a project to test how well webcams would work for communication between the Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICFL) and the Idaho library community.
If you/your library has a webcam and would be willing to help us with one or two short online meetings, please contact me.
What I'm asking of you:
