LiLI eAudiobooks: End of Service, Final Notification
As previously announced, the statewide access to the eaudiobooks through NetLibrary will end September 30th at Midnight. That is TOMORROW.
- Users may download and check out eaudiobooks any time through September 30th. Their accounts will be closed as of 12:01am October 1st.

Idaho at the National Book Festival

The 2009 National Book Festival was held on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Marj Hooper and Pam Bradshaw from the Idaho Commission for Libraries represented Idaho in the Pavilion of the States, promoting reading, sharing information about Idaho literacy and library programs, and answering questions about Idaho writers and libraries.

Training Announcement: Consumer Product Content in LiLI-D through ProQuest
Earlier this year, it was announced that Consumer Union, the publisher of Consumer Reports, entered into an exclusive agreement with a single database provide. Idaho residents can still access full text of Consumer Reports content published from January 1996 – January 2009 through the LiLI Databases.

Applications sought for PLA Results Boot Camp 5; Deadline Extended
Applications are now being accepted for the Public Library Association's (PLA) intensive library management training, Results Boot Camp 5, to be held October 12-16, 2009, in Seattle, Washington. The deadline has been extended thru September 18, 2009.

Idaho Board of Library Commissioners Meeting
The Idaho Board of Library Commissioners will meet in a regularly scheduled meeting on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 9:00 AM PDT. The meeting will be held at the Hayden Branch of the Kootenai-Shoshone Area Libraries, 8385 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.

E-rate: SLD website unavailable until September 14
It certainly seems the season for construction - both real and virtual! The SLD website will be down for an upgrade until 6 a.m. PDT or 7 a.m. MDT on Monday, September 14.
