Nominations Sought for LSTA Advisory Council
The Idaho Board of Library Commissioners is seeking nominations for two seats on the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council. These positions include the Eastern Idaho Public Library seat and one At Large Member seat.
Incumbents are seeking reappointment for both seats. Appointments become effective July 1, 2013 and run through June of 2018.

Potential Effects of Sequestration on Idaho Libraries
The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) has notified the Idaho Commission for Libraries that IMLS will get a 5% reduction from their current funding levels. However, IMLS has a number of programs in addition to the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and they don’t expect to know the impact on each program until Congress passes the FY2013 budget.

2011 LSTA Competitive Grants Approved
On February 18th, the Idaho Commission for Libraries Board of Commissioners reviewed and approved the two grant applications submitted in response to the 2011 LSTA Competitive Grant announcement. Urgent! Public Libraries Must Respond by July 2 to be part of the BTOP Candidate Pool

2010 Final LSTA Grant Application
The Commission for Libraries received 5 applications for the 2010 LSTA Draft Competitive Grant process. Those applications were reviewed by Commission Staff and all were invited to apply in the Final Competitive Grant process. Final Applications must be e-mailed, postmarked, or hand delivered no later than 5:00 PM on January 7, 2010.
