Applications are now open for the 2016-2017 School Library Access Mini-Grants!
Applications are currently open for the 2015-2016 School Library Access Mini-Grants, due by May 6, 2015. These school library grants range from $1,000 to $5,000 and are aimed at addressing acces to print in the home for our earliest readers (pre-K through 1st grade).

Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL) recently hosted two grant workshops offered by Grant Writing USA at our Boise office. Library staff from around the state; ICfL employees; and other state, county, and city employees who work with grants were invited to attend.
At one of today’s three Idaho Library Association pre-conferences, “Out of Stacks and Into the Streets: Libraries Building Community,” Rich Harwood of the Harwood Institute (http://www.theharwoodinstitute.org/) shared ideas on how libraries can be the heart of the community and build on the good work they have already been doing in Idah
National Medal for Museum and Library Service
The National Medal for Museum and Library Service honors outstanding institutions that make significant and exceptional contributions to their communities.
The Idaho Commission for Libraries will be hosting two workshops by Grant Writing USA at our Boise offices in the Capitol Mall area of Downtown Boise in August and September.
The Idaho Board of Library Commissioners is seeking nominations for two seats on the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council. These positions include the Eastern Idaho Public Library seat and one At Large Member seat.
Incumbents are seeking reappointment for both seats. Appointments become effective July 1, 2013 and run through June of 2018.
