Registration open for Read to Me Rendezvous, November 2 - 3, 2017

Registration is now open for Idaho public and school librarians planning to attend the biennial Read to Me Rendezvous in Boise, November 2 - 3.

November 2 will focus on topics that build the capacity of public libraries to better serve their communities.

Idaho Family Reading Week 2017 now open for registration!

The third week of November is Idaho Family Reading Week, when families are encouraged to read together. This year's theme, "Tell Me a Tale," will be celebrated at public and school libraries across the Gem State, November 12-18, 2017.

$200,000 Awarded to Schools throughout Idaho

BOISE, ID – The Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL) awarded $200,000 to 47 elementary schools throughout Idaho for the purchase of books to serve students pre-kindergarten through first grade and to allow five schools to open their libraries during the summer. The funds were in the form of mini-grants, for amounts between $1,000 and $5,000, each.
