the new site looks great!
This is so awesome! Finally, libraries are atarting to really get into blogging and other Web 2.0 and social media practices. Great job, the new site looks great!

Tagging on Library Thing
I really enjoyed looking through this site there was so much on it. I would use this site alone for many things. I learned about tagging and tried it out and it is worthwhile knowing.
Tagging
I worked ahead a little bit because its a rather slow day at our branch library. I had a bit of a problem with the tags for the first books repeating themselves on the next books. I couldn't really figure out why they were doing that, but did figure out how to remove them when I was done entering my choices so it was all good. It was fun trying to come up with "good" tags.
nice!
i love to see that the "libraries" coming to the next level. to have a website is one thing but to have misc features like voting, blogging, (mostly web 2.0) is another story. until now the most "libraries" had an old image, ancient style, dusty and so on (not really "sexy" for the most people) but the new developments make it more interesting for all. anyway a very good job and i hope many other libraries will see it and make something similar. libraries.idaho = pioneer? ;o)

Library Thing & del.icio.us
I've wanted to try Library Thing since the ILA conference and it is awesome! Can't wait to share this with my mother for her personal library. Hope to add my own book collection over Christmas break. Thanks to Michael Samuelson I have been using del.icio.us for almost a year.

Tagging
People must have nothing to do if they take the time to catalog their personal library of books. I would look on the shelf to see what book I might want to read, not turn on the computer and bring up some list. Not going to use but worth knowing what the word means in today's world.
Tagging
At first glance it may appear that way but if your are in a field which uses many different resources it is great to share those resources with your peers and co workers at times. I found this lesson very useful.
Tagging
Tagging was fun but to be honest the Library Thing site was worth the trip with books folks recommend if you'd like a particular book. Always looking for books others think you might like if you liked a particular book or author.
SPLAT 101
The entire time was fun though often frustrating since so many sites are prohibited by my school and without internet at home it has made doing the class a bit more challenging. I'd like to thank all who worked on the class I did learn a lot of things, found I knew more in some area than I thought, picked up tips in others, and found somethings I mostly likely will not use but others I know might benefit so I can share with them. Thank You!
Tagging at LibraryThing
Easy to use, will be useful for book group lists and some patron requests/recommendations. I doubt I will use it at home, but you never know.
Tagging
This is an interesting tool, but my home library is very small. I have no reason to use the tagging for that.

Social Book Networks
Tagging your home library goes well beyond the size of your collection. Using sites like Library Thing, Shelfari, or Good Reads lets you tap into something bigger: other people's opinions on books. These services can be used to find people with similiar literary interests, discover new books, and genereate commentary on the books you have read. It's kind of like a book club without time boundaries - participate on your own time!
Tagging
Tagging is probably the thing I've had the most trouble with. I'll keep working
when I see others tags I think, Oh, yeah, that's good. Maybe my brain is just a little slow. All I can come up with on my own are the same old things.
Tagging
A great concept. I can see how it will be useful. Thanks for the lesson.
Tag-a-rific and more...
I've gotten myself into "electronic" trouble for the last time today, but the tagging portion of the SPLAT 101 class was much easier than it looked. What a good way to keep a handy list of good reads for story time. Am hoping the wiki I messed up and the way-to-large photo I managed to import into WebJunction can all be forgiven (and repaired) but again, thanks SPLAT team for providing an the opportunity to work through many "new-fangled" resources I wouldn't have otherwise attempted.
LibraryThing and tagging
To a certain extent I often take things to seriously. But I did get tagging and realize it is not only useful but could also be alot of fun. I could not get anywhere in flikr. I think I might use LibraryThing at Home because I do have quite a collection of books.
LibraryThing and tagging
I had some difficulty thinking of taggs. I was being very serious thinking of taggs like cultural, political then some one ssuggested I could use "favorite read", OK, that helps. Taggin is something I could see myself using at home as I do have a large collection of books.
Tagging
It was great going to use it for my Bilingual Storys book for spanish classes. That was the Bomb

This assignment was so much fun. I already had an account with LibraryThing so I just added a few more books and tags. But was really so much fun was del.icio.us My bookmarks had gotten out of control. Once I imported all of my bookmarks into del.icio.us I started in tagging all of them. It may take me awhile to get them organized but it will be so much easier to find what I need!
TAG
I just revisited my Delicious account and LibraryThing.... I had to set up a new user name and password for LT, but I added books again. I usually use GoodReads and I also have an application on Facebook that I like to use for books I have read. Delicious is very useful for when I'm not at the particular computer I found an interesting website on. I haven't used it lately, but do every now and again.
My biggest issue with all of the social networking sites is PASSWORDS. I hear that you can get Delicious to remember some of these associated with certain sites. Has anyone else had experience with this, and is it safe?
SPLAT 101
I'm so glad I signed up for this class. I've learned many new things available technologically to make my life easier.
Delicious
This is really nice. I plan to start migrating all my internet bookmarks over to Delicious. This will be a lot easier to use. Thanks for the tip!
