SPLAT 101 Assignment - Blogs

When I started as a new employee at the Idaho Commission for Libraries about two months ago, I was encouraged to set up a blog site and learn about blogging. I reluctantly set up my blog site, thinking my position wouldn't require that skill set. Well, here I am learning more about blogs and trying to get extra credit on my first assignment by posting on the ICFL website. After just a short time reading the information that my instructor Dylan provided, I already have a greater understanding of the value of blogs.

    Blog assignment

    I just set up a blog. This is the first time for me. I am a part-time Library specialist at the Post Falls Public Library. I am actually working from home this week and hope to learn more about blogging. Thank you to Dylan for setting up this weeks lesson. This is still new for me, but hopefully in time I'll get the hang of blogging.

    Splat 101 Blogs

    I like what I am seeing in the blogs I have looked at so far. I couldn't visualize a blog for my library before this assignment, but now I really want to create a blog to link to my library webpage. I'll have to work out a compromise somehow with the powers that be who run our school filter. Our filter is pretty tight and at present blocks all blogs. But, I will work on that.

    Splat 101

    I'm a little late to the table but I have created a blog site for up to 100 of my dearest best friends... I did have fun, however I must be a scrapbooker at heart because I spent lots of time playing with the layout, pictures, fonts, etc.
