As I was trolling the web for all things STEAM, I came across a competition I had not seen before. As I read more about the challenge, I discovered how it fit so well with our Make it at the Library project's mission and philosphy. This is what the website says about the challenge:

web-based Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics competition for 6th,
7th, 8th and 9th grade teams. Your team will propose a solution to a real
problem in your community and compete for State, Regional and National Awards.

eCYBERMISSION challenges
you to explore how Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics work in
your world."

The guidelines and rules are quite extensive, but if you are interested in learning more, I encourage you to visit https://www.ecybermission.com/

for complete details on the challenge. Registration is open until December 2014. You can check out last year’s winners at https://www.ecybermission.com/files/2014%20Year%20In%20Review.pdf.

If you do decide to take the challenge, please let me know! I would love to hear about your adventure.
