LiLI eAudioBooks Collection: Update and Request for Information
Since October 2007, ICFL has coordinated a demonstration project known as LiLI eAudioBooks Collection. The project’s purpose is to allow library administrators to evaluate:
- The potential use of ongoing digital eaudiobook service,
- The technological skills and resources necessary to carry out ongoing digital audiobook service, and
- A library’s ability to provide the service on an ongoing basis after the demonstration period.
The current statewide subscription that makes up the LiLI eAudioBooks Collection will end September 30, 2009.
We are now collecting contact information for those libraries that may be interested in participating in a large group subscription to continue the service locally. The intent of a large group subscription is to negotiate pricing as a group, thus achieving costs that are less than what an individual subscriber would be charged. We are unable to provide an estimate of annual fees until we can submit a rough idea of the number of libraries that have an interest in continuing.
If your library is interested in being included in the pricing for a large group subscription, please submit your information using the online survey.
If you would like to check the library's usage statistics in NetLibrary, instructions to do so are available on the LiLI eAudioBooks Collection website.
Including your library’s information at this time does NOT obligate your library to participate in the group. If interested, please complete the form no later than Friday, May 22nd.
