Multigenerational Programs on Saturdays

Anonymous's picture

I'm excited! Our new Saturday programs begin tomorrow! This week is family storytime (Theme for this week is Pizza stories and craft) and a computer coaching session on our geneology databases: Ancestry.com and HeritageQuest. This programming is made possible by an LSTA grant and is a giant shift for Nampa. We have lacked sufficient staff to go beyond summer reading, school outreach and weekday storytimes. Focus groups and surveys in recent years revealed a real demand for weekend and multigenerational programs, but we needed to demonstrate value to the community. We have a new EventKeeper calendar on our webpage, which provides additional marketing and reservation options. This is a chance to tap into the wide range of skills and interests on our staff to meet community needs.

    Wimba, SPLAT and prizes

I loved the first SPLAT 101 session - especially the little video. My issue is taking the time regularly to update a blog. I regularly enjoy reading others, but don't get around to updating those where I have responsibilities. I resolve to do better. Big surprise today when I got a congratulations letter with reward for completing the follow-up steps for the 'sneak preview' Wimba training. I thought I would not qualify because I jumped the gun on some of the requirements. Thanks!
