The Barbara Bush Foundation announced the 2009 national grant competition for Family Literacy - Deadline: September 5, 2008
The Foundation's grant making program seeks to develop or expand projects that are designed to support the development of literacy skills for adult primary care givers and their children. A total of approximately $650,000 will be awarded; no grant request should exceed $65,000.
Eligible applicants are organizations in existence for two or more years as of the date of the application with a current nonprofit or public status. Applicants must have a record of fiscal accountability and provide instructional literacy programs that have been in existence for at least two years.
