SPLAT, the Special Projects Library Action Team, has put together a fun self-paced online course that introduces six technology-based resources that many of you have been meaning to explore, but haven’t carved out the time to do so yet. Now’s your chance! Register for this free online course and explore these topics with others from around the state:

• Week 1 – Blogs
• Week 2 – RSS
• Week 3 – IM
• Week 4 – Online Applications

SPLAT team members are also available to help if you get stuck during the six-week time frame. The first online session starts the week of October 6, 2008. You can complete the assignments any time during the week and we’ve also allowed a little catch up time at the end. SPLAT 101

Thanks for providing this opportunity for us. I work in a small school district, and we are always glad to be able to take classes and keep up on the latest technology. I am planning to have my English students use my blog to talk about books they have read or are reading. I like the State Library's blog.

      SPLAT is awesome

Just finished the SPLAT classes and was very impressed with the amount of info. loaded into just a short web page of lesson. It was in a 'technology for dummies' friendly format with super current information. I feel we can show our savvy patrons that we are cool, too!
Thanks for making this class so easy and not time consuming at all.
Look forward to more in the future!
