Transforming Life After 50 PLA panel

Idaho was well represented at PLA in Philadelphia.  Sarah Kelley-Chase from Boise Public Library and ICfL's Erica Compton, both fellows in the 2009-2010 Transforming Life After 50 Fellowship, participated in a diverse panel focusing on services to mid-life adults.  Panel members discussed how this and succeeding generations differ from our current perceptions of seniors, how serving this audience is beneficial to both libraries and mid-life adults, and specific programs and initiatives that have been successfully implemented in different libraries.  Erica shared the statewide steps ICfL is taking to better serve mid-life adults, and Sarah described programming currently underway at Boise Public Library.  To keep current with what's happening in Idaho, subscribe to The Messenger, a quarterly e-newsletter, and check out the ICfL mid-life adult website.  Share what you're doing with either Erica or me.
