Teen Read Week activities

School and public libraries celebrated Teen Read Week during October with a variety of activities and events.  Some libraries built on YALSA's "Get Away @ your library" theme by challenging teens to share their dream get away from a book in any media they found appropriate.  Teens submitted their ideas via Facebook, PowerPoint, sculpture, and videos.  All of the  submissions can be reviewed in this document

Submissions from Buhl High School, Gooding High School, and Madison Library District were selected as winners for their creative entries celebrating spooky books, The Maze Runner, and The Sword of Summer  respectively.  Each library will receive a hardcover set of the 2015 Top Ten Teen books.

A set of the Top Ten books will also be sent to first time participant Lakeland Junior High School in Rathdrum and  Timberline High School in Boise, one of a group of  28 libraries that have participated in Teen Read Week for 3 or more years. These libraries were randomly selected from those that completed the participation requirements.

Everyone who participates in Teen Read Week is a winner!
