Are your students up for the Idaho vs. Indiana i2 Math Challenge?
On February 1, Apangea Learning will kick off the Idaho vs. Indiana i2 Math Challenge. The state whose students earn the most Apangea Points will be rewarded with the i2 Trophy, a visit from the other State's Superintendent, lunch served by dignitaries, and the pride of winning!
What is Apangea Math?
Apangea Math is an online, supplemental math instruction and tutoring program that provides students—in grades 4-8, plus high school Algebra 1 and Geometry—with instruction, access to live certified teachers, and a motivation program with rewards for working on math problems. The Apangea Math login page can be accessed from the Idaho Commission for Libraries’ Libraries Linking Idaho (LiLI) portal at http://lili.org.
Who can participate?
Every student in grades 4-12 in Idaho and Indiana with an Apangea account can participate. Idaho students can get an account from their teachers or at their public library.
When is the contest?
The contest starts on February 1 at 12:01 a.m. EST and runs until midnight on February 28. So encourage your students to work on math during the school day, evenings, and weekends.
What else is up for grabs?
One outstanding classroom from each state will earn the title of Most Valuable Class (MVC) and will be awarded a fantastic prize pack.
