ICfL Welcomes New Commissioner

Dr. Jim Fullerton, Leadership Program Director and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at Idaho State University, has been appointed by the Governor’s Office to the Board of Library Commissioners for a term ending June 30, 2015. Fullerton’s experience with the Idaho Commission for Libraries includes six years on the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) Advisory Council, a trip to Washington D.C. to visit Idaho’s Congressional Delegation on ALA’s National Library Legislative Day, and participation in the Idaho Commission for Libraries’ preferred futures workshop.

Fullerton also served on the Marshall Public Library Board of Trustees and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Marshall Public Library. He has a doctorate in Human Sciences, a master’s in Public Administration, and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism.

The Commission and the Board look forward to working with Fullerton and will join him in a face-to-face Board Meeting in Boise on February 18, 2011.
