Congratulations to the following people, who were recognized at the October 6, 2011 Idaho Library Association’s Annual Conference Awards Banquet and Ceremony for their contributions to Idaho libraries.

• Special Services to Libraries: John Watts, Veritas Advisors
• Trustee of the Year: John Held, Payette Public Library and the Idaho Commission for Libraries
• School Library Media Program of the Year - sponsored by Follett: Gregory Taylor, Hillside Junior High School, Boise (award includes $400 for the Hillside School library)
• Legislator of the Year: Senator John Goedde, District 4
• Idaho Book Award: Brady Udall's The Lonely Polygamist
• Librarian of the Year: Rebecca Stroebel, Boise Public Library
• Scholarships:
  - Idaho Library Association Scholarship: Thomas Ivie, University of Idaho
  - Gardner Hanks Scholarship: Ben Hunter, University of Idaho

Also recognized at the banquet were the current MLIS (Masters of Library and Information Science) students and new librarians.
