I'm not sure I'm a "real" librarian based on altruistic motives. It would be more accurate to say I LOVE to use libraries. If you love a bargain how can you NOT love libraries? My thing for libraries started when I was child moving around the country. I became a reader by necessity and libraries were my escape. Soon it was a habit I couldn't break.

As a child I spent many happy hours at the old Carnegie library in downtown Boise. I always thought of that building as being immense, and now it seems so very small. I was always sneaking off to the adult section. Now I like to spend time in YS to see what I might have missed.
