The Bookworm

The Bookworm is a monthly publication of the Read to Me First Book program. This early literacy newsletter is sent home to the parents of children receiving First Books each month, and contains age-appropriate literacy information and activities. It can also be distributed by school and public librarians to parents at storytimes and library events.

2009 Read to Me Support Materials Order Form

A limited supply of support materials is available at no charge to Idaho public libraries, schools, and reading partners. First priority for distribution of materials will be to support literacy outreach efforts. Materials are not to be charged for. Quantities are limited and the Commission for Libraries may adjust amounts sent at any time.

Read to Me First Book provides children from low-income families the opportunity to read and own their first new books. The program provides a book a month for nine months for each participating child, and First Book families can participate in a free early literacy workshop.

The Scoop

The Scoop is a bi-monthly e-mail newsletter containing fun, inspiring, and innovative ideas for library youth services. It is published by Read to Me, a service of the Idaho Commission for Libraries for school and public library staff who are interested in improving services to children and young adults.
