Idaho Courier Backbone

Working in cooperation with the ORBIS Library Consortium (a consortium of Northwest academic institutions in Washington and Oregon), Idaho has 3 drop sites established in Northern Idaho. These drop sites act as hubs, through which individual libraries can make arrangements to move materials between participating libraries.

Currently, there are over 200 participating libraries in the ORBIS system. To become a participating library, contact the library director of your nearest drop site (see map below) to make arrangements, or e-mail Gina Persichini for more information.

The LiLI Advisory Board and staff of the Idaho Commission for Libraries are currently investigating the feasibility of extending courier services statewide. If you are interested in supporting a statewide courier service or have suggestions for implementation of such a service, please contact Gina Persichini.
