Credible Connections

What are the burning issues in your community?  Economic Development?  Jobs?  Education?   The Idaho Commission for Libraries through its online@yourlibrary grant project and in collaboration with Idaho Department of Labor and Adult Basic Education (PTE) hosted 2-hour sessions in 24 Idaho communities to develop connections among individuals who have resources to address those burning issues.

Making a difference in your community requires tools and connections from a variety of resources.  The goal of Credible Connections was to bring together representatives from a variety of agencies, both local and state, community leaders, library staff and interested citizens to connect with each other and discover the tools available to enhance community development.

Below you will find notes from the individual sessions where participants identified what they learned, concerns for their community's economic health, and a next step to take upon leaving the session.  Also attached below is a summary of the sessions, identifying statewide themes.  To learn more about the resources libraries offer their communities and the grant project go to online @ your library.
