Partnering to Shape 21st Century Learners: January & February
2. Partnering to Shape 21st Century Learners:
Three regional one-day conferences facilitated by the Washington Moms are scheduled:
- Coeur d'Alene: Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration Deadline: January 21
- Pocatello: Saturday, February 20, 2010, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration Deadline: February 5
- Boise: Saturday, April 24, 2010, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration Deadline: April 10
Attend one of these workshops to learn how to leverage school library partnerships in order to meet the needs of an evolving schoolhouse community. You’ll come away with a blueprint for developing partnerships along with data about the impact of Idaho school library programs on student success.
For this workshop, we ask librarians to serve as a team leader and bring along an administrator and one or more parents to help formulate your blueprint for your 21st century library program. Teachers, technical support staff, and others can also be invited as team members to help you envision and design your blueprint. Administrator should plan to attend the morning sessions and they are welcome, but not required, to stay for the entire day.
Those who attend with a team—an administrator and one or more parents—will be eligible to win a Gale Virtual Library collection (yes, a collection!) from Gale Cengage Learning.
