RSS in Plain English--Really Simple to Understand too!

Okay, I admit it.

I hear alot about RSS and I know what it stands for, but when I click on the icon for RSS feeds off a website, it looks like code to me.

Luckily, I just was forward this really simple to understand video (from CommonCraft) on how it works.

    RSS is nothing without...

    Great video, Anne! Yes, by itself RSS is all gobbledygook and not all that useful--but get a news reader like Google Reader or Bloglines and then watch it come alive into beautiful and informative web content.

    The guys at Commoncraft did

    The guys at Commoncraft did a great job with this video. It's a very simple explanation of RSS but it gets the message across remarkably well.

    By the way the same group created another video but this time about wikis. You can find it here:

    It doesn't have the same punch as the RSS video but it's still quite good.
