Position: Technology/Automation Librarian (Librarian I)

• Will be responsible for the policies and procedures related to all services which rely on computer services.

• Work involves:
• Coordinating all operations dealing with in-house networks of computers, software, and other equipment and off-site contract services
• Assisting in evaluating new hardware, software, and techniques and procedures, and assisting in the adaptation of appropriate methods to fully utilize automation technologies
• Maintaining automation support services records and statistics
• Supervising the use of in-house computers for work-processing, graphics, records management, bookkeeping

• The Library is a member of the LYNX! Consortium, and the integrated system is SirsiDynix Horizon.

• Some assigned time in Reference and/or Technical Services will be expected.

• Varied forty hours a week schedule may include weekdays, evening, and Saturdays. Starting salary: $32,874.00 with an excellent benefit package. EOE/AAE

• Minimum qualifications: Four-year college degree. Computer technical training, experience with operating systems and various application software programs, and installing and maintaining hardware and software. Basic knowledge of library operations and policies and/or experience in library work. Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. MLS degree a plus.
