What's Out There? or Fun & Informative School Library Blogs

Blogs are an excellent source for staying current, gleaning ideas, and staying connected with librarians from all over the world.  Here are a few, but if your favorite is not included here, please send it ICfL.  If we can we will include it in this list.  If you are an Idaho school librarian who blogs, please let us know!

 School Library Journal Useful articles in blog entry format about the school library's intersection with the Common Core.  Very useful when working with Idaho Core Standards.
The Daring Librarian Lots to look at here. If you are into using technology in the library, or would like to be, this is a great place to start!
 The Hub A teen reading blog from YALSA.  Check out the Teen Reading Challenge that  happens in the Spring.  Could be a good middle school/junior high/high school event.
Expect Miraculous Elementary Media Specialist Any Plemmons' blog on all things elementary library.  He covers everything from library orientation to book clubs to tech lessons.  Simple, clean look with archives back to 2008. 
Ms. Yingling Reads  Readers advisory blog focused on middle school/jr. high books, with an emphasis on books for boys.  Thorough and easy to read.
 Pixelated Librarian  Easy to read blog that focuses on technology and its uses in a school.  Find information on different devices, some trouble shooting, product comparison, and more. 
 The Busy Librarian  A high-energy blog with focus on elementary school librarianship with everything from book reviews to  gaming and social media to library challenges.
 Teaching with the Library of Congress Updates and techniques to use the Library of Congress's vast collection of primary documents.
Mr. Schu Reads This blog is self-described as "Watch. Connect. Read. Exploring Children's Literature Through Book Trailers."  Lots of books and cool guest posts!
