Started the day with Legislative Committee which included information on telecommunication and broadband (i.e., regional cooperatives, rural broadband deployment, network neutrality),reauthorization of LSTA, e-rate, and copyright.

ALA - Anaheim -- Great to be in a library...

..whereever that might be!  Joe Janes, UW, provided a lively presentation proposing the library should be everywhere the user is!  "We have to be somewhere and everywhere."  He talked about the importance of the physical structure that we know and love, as well as the growing importance of the virtual structures such as Twitter, FaceBook and other social networking tools to bring information to the users.  Janes was joined by the It's All Good bloggers from OCLC who also reflected on the new ubiquitous library and how we might get there.  Janes encouraged the audience to open th
