Credible Connections - A Rousing Success!
This week saw the beginning of Credible Connections - a networking opportunity for all libraries and rave reviews are rolling in! These 2-hour networking sesions in Mountain Home, Hailey, Burley, Twin Falls and Buhl enabled representatives from libraries, Department of Labor, Adult Basic Education, economic development groups and local interested community members to discover the vast array of resources and develop a connection for the next successful partnership to strengthen their communities.

The CIS (Idaho Career Information System) portal has a new look. The homepage now highlights additional resources that are available from the Idaho Department of Labor such as workshops, volunteer opportunities, apprenticeship opportunities, IdahoWorks job search, training programs, etc…

online @ your library announces late-winter workshops for all public libraries.
Credible Connections will be coming to a location near you in late January through mid-March 2012. This will be an opportunity for public libraries (staff and trustees) to connect with a wide range of other local and state agencies.

Training Resources
I attended Training Program Curricula' on Public Access Technology Community webinar today ~ which I found very informative. Club Digital, TEAL and DigitalLiteracy.gov are three resources I would encourage all Idaho libraries to review and and use as training tools, either for staff or for patrons.
