Getting ready for National Book Festival
ICfL will promote Idaho’s literary heritage at the 11th annual National Book Festival. The Festival, sponsored by the Library of Congress, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 -25, 2011 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Family Reading Week CDs Are in the Mail!
The Commission just mailed out hundreds of Family Reading Week CDs to each publicly funded public and elementary school library. The CDs are filled with planning and marketing information, programming ideas, literacy materials, and other resources. So keep your eyes out--they will be in your mailbox any day now.

I just found a great site called TOPICS online magazine for learners of English. It is a wonderful resource for this year's Summer Reading theme One World, Many Stories. It can also assist librarians who are looking for ways to add diversity to their programming.
