Technology & Access Services Consultant
Gina is a graduate of the University of South Florida School of Library and Information Science. She started as an Internet trainer teaching librarians about email and incorporating online resources in library services. After working in Florida’s multi-type library cooperatives, Gina relocated to Idaho in 2001 to join the Idaho Commission for Libraries.
As the Technology & Access Services Consultant, Gina is focused on resource sharing and developing statewide library programs. She coordinates Libraries Linking Idaho (LiLI), a collaborative web-based service for Idahoans. The foundation of LiLI is the database program, through which Idahoans have access to a suite of full-text databases. Since 2001, the LiLI program has grown to include a low-cost option for libraries to access interlibrary loan and cataloging tools.
Gina contributes to the library community a member of the Idaho Library Association. She is also active with the American Library Association, where she service as a member of the ALA Council and the ALA Executive Board. When she’s not working, Gina can be found spending time camping, crocheting, or playing card games with family and friends.
