How many times have you wished for more help in your library?  From Summer Reading to outreach, there isn’t enough time to implement all your ideas.

ICfL is a partner in an innovative three year project to help public library staff recruit, train, and retain skilled volunteers to help meet your library’s goals.  The state library agencies in Arizona, California, Idaho, and Texas formed the Get Involved Collaborative and received a grant to implement their vision of increasing the use of skilled volunteers in public libraries. Through November 2019, participating libraries will receive premium access to VolunteerMatch, an online tool for recruiting volunteers, training in all aspects of volunteer management, access to a clearinghouse with a resources such as volunteer job descriptions and sample volunteer handbooks, and a widget to encourage users to search for volunteer positions in your library.

Sound interesting?  Join “Transform your library with high impact volunteer engagement”, a one hour introductory webinar that will explain the project in more detail and explain how your library can participate. The webinar will be held Tuesday, February 28, 10 am MST (9 am PST)
