The Collection provides ebooks on topics of interest to library staff. Idaho library staff can access the ebooks from any Internet accessible device.
Access The Collection
The Collection includes content on library management, cataloging, programming, technology, school libraries, RDA, and more. Funding for much of the collection is provided with LSTA funds through our Continuing Education program with administrative and staff support of the Idaho Commission for Libraries.
Access to The Collection requires a username and password. If you do not know the login, complete the password request form. It may take a couple days to provide the login due to staff scheduling.
Contact ICfL staff to request specific titles for The Collection. Remember, The Collection is for library staff professional development. This is a great way to request titles to help with your work, planning, and continuing education.
Professional Development books in IDEA
Another way to access professional development resources virtually is through our regularly updated collection of titles in IDEA, the Idaho Digital eBook Alliance. Audiobooks and eBooks are available to borrow through the Libby app.
Books available through ILL
Many of the titles accessible through our professional development collection in IDEA can also be requested through interlibrary loan (ILL) and sent to your home library. You can search for titles in our collection on WorldCat and then follow the standard ILL process for your library when you find an item you’d like to request. View the ICfL on WorldCat at this link. We have a four-week checkout period for any of our physical books.
