Both academic and public libraries are uniquely positioned to support individuals before and after release. Join us as we share our experiences with prison outreach, working in carceral settings, how we got started, the development of T.E.C.H. for Reentry, and the partnerships and collaborations that helped make this work possible. We will discuss what’s worked and hasn’t worked, the nuances of working with jail systems versus prison systems, and why librarians should be serving incarcerated communities.
