The Library Leadership Advisory Committee (LiLAC), a collaborative effort between the Idaho Commission for Libraries and the Idaho Library Association, will be hosting the second University of Idaho Extension Service Leadership To Make A Difference Institute in Boise on November 9 and 10. The two-day event will be facilitated by Kathee Tifft and Mary Schmidt. This is a beginning class focusing on
leadership basics for library staff and trustees. During the two-day session, we will explore communication techniques, ideas for team building, best practices for leading effective meetings, and tools for leadership development. Past participants report developing new-found confidence to take those initial steps in their personal leadership development journey. While this session has already been filled, the plan is to host another session next spring in either Eastern or South-Central Idaho.
