Today (July 19, 2013), 9 members of the Special Projects Library Action Team (SPLAT) will be visiting 4 libraries in Magic Valley.  They will be interacting with staff  and drop ins — providing insight about tablets, e-readers, and anything else that comes along related to libraries, programming and technology.  Camas County District Library, Burley Public Library, DeMary Public Library and Buhl Public Library have invited the SPLAT team to visit their sites.  SPLAT members will come armed with information and components of the SPLAT Gizmo Garage to share.

On Friday, members will meet at the Twin Falls Public Library to debrief and plan for their presence at the next ILA Fall Conference at the Nampa Civic Center.  There will be a SPLAT room at the conference complete with charging bars, the Gizmo Garage, and SPLAT members.  In addition, SPLAT will be hosting 1 or 2 sessions of the Capitol Virtual Tour now available through Legislative Services Office.  Two members of SPLAT, Gena Marker and Jennifer Redford, will be facilitating a session on “Digital Access.”  You won’t want to miss any of these activities!  Be sure to circle the dates of October 3 and 4, 2013.
