The Dean of the Emporia State University School of Library and Information Management will be in Idaho on January 18, 2019 to meet with those of you interested in learning about their intentions to begin offering courses in Idaho beginning in the fall of 2019.

The meeting will be held at the Idaho Commission for Libraries at 325 W State Street, Boise at 9AM.  If you are able to attend please RSVP to Tammy.

In preparing for your education, please keep in mind that the Idaho Commission for Libraries may be able to provide tuition assistance (up to $1000 each semester/$6000 lifetime) to persons currently working in a publicly-funded library.  Emporia also offers some scholarships, as does the American Library Association and the Idaho Library Association. Every little bit helps and once you have pulled the information together for one application, completing others is much easier.

Please also note that Emporia is accredited by the American Library Association. Accreditation is an importance consideration in your continuing education.

As always, don’t hesitate to contact Tammy Hawley-House,  if you have any questions.
