Do you have a project or program that would benefit from an extra set of hands this summer? Do you have someone on your staff with great leadership potential who would benefit from mentoring a young person? Are you interested in learning more about career development resources that can be shared with your community? If you answer yes to any of these questions, you should consider applying for a summer intern grant.
Hosting a summer intern is a rewarding and educational experience for both the intern and your library! Interns get to explore a career in library work and expand their workplace skills. Libraries get the opportunity to grow their capacity and develop leadership skills among their staff. And the ICfL gets the chance to share helpful informaiton and career development resources with Idaho’s libraries. It’s a win-win-win for everyone.
The grant application is available starting February 1, 2021 and must be submitted by midnight on March 1. Find out more information on our grant page here: https://libraries.idaho.gov/community-partners/workforce-development/summer-intern-grant/
