The Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children (IAEYC), IdahoSTARS, the Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL), and First Book are partnering to help Idaho child care providers increase access to books for children this summer.

Each approved provider will receive $200 in book credits with First Book, a national organization dedicated to getting books in the hands of children who need them. In order to receive these credits, providers must attend a one-hour webinar, “Idaho Providers Offering More Great Books.” The webinar provides the background knowledge child care providers need in order to increase access to books for their children, support the development of critical early literacy skills, and be able to choose high-quality books and print materials for their classrooms and to send home with families.

Only Idaho Child Care providers that have been approved by IAEYC are eligible to participate.

The live webinar took place May 30, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm MST.
