Subscribe to The Scoop:

The Scoop is a monthly e-mail newsletter containing fun, inspiring, and innovative ideas for library youth services. It is published by Read to Me, a service of the Idaho Commission for Libraries for school and public library staff who are interested in improving services to children and young adults.

Some email systems filter out newsletters as junk mail. If you have trouble subscribing to or receiving the Scoop, please read our list of common solutions.

We welcome contributions to The Scoop from Idaho library staff. Please send ideas, articles and photos to Staci Shaw or call with suggestions (1-800-458-3271). We love photos of library programs, but need to get permission from parents to publish photos of children. Download the photo release form. Thanks!

We want you!
Please tell us about yourself using our Scoop Profile form. Email the completed form to Staci Shaw. We'll include it in an upcoming issue within the "Meet..." section.

The Scoop - February 8th, 2018 vol. 14 no. 2

This month’s edition of the Scoop is full of opportunities to support a gamut of programs at your library. Lots of grants are open and readily awaiting your application. We are shining the spotlight on some local children’s books, two of which have ties to Idaho children’s librarians. And to help you stay current, we have a couple great reads regarding early childhood education. Happy Reading!
