The Public Library Association, the American Library Association, and Google invite public libraries in Idaho to apply for $1,000 in funding to continue and/or expand library services/programs related to workforce development. To be eligible, a public library need only host a workshop, event, or program on one of the two following themes while incorporating a Grow with Google or PLA tool:
- Assist Job Seekers to Find or Prepare for Work
- Empower Small Businesses to Grow Online
The short application is easy to complete and there are minimal reporting requirements. Simply complete this online application by Monday, September 16. Eight applications from Idaho will be selected and receive pre-approval by Monday, September 30. You’ll then just need to host your workshop, event, or program within 60 days of notification of pre-approval. After that, you’ll submit a program recap to PLA within one week to receive the $1,000 in funding for your library.
ICfL staff are available and happy to assist you with brainstorming event ideas, the application process, or anything else. Please reach out to us anytime!
