Read to Me

Read to Me

Providing information, training, technical assistance, and resources for Idaho libraries and their community partners. Our vision is for all parents and caregivers to nurture their children's early literacy skills and for all children to develop as independent readers and become lifelong learners.

READ TO ME RESOURCES

Read to Me's public awareness efforts encompass a wide variety of materials and dissemination methods to reach families across Idaho with information about early literacy and library resources. Outreach materials are available for free to Idaho library staff by using our online ORDER FORM or you can fax in your order using our PRINT ORDER FORM.   Additional resources can be found on our Resource Page.

Outreach Opportunities For Libraries

Routes to Reading

The goal of the new Routes to Reading Program is to significantly increase the amount of reading done in Idaho homes and child care settings. To achieve this goal, ICfL will be using grant and state funds totaling over $300,000 over three years to build three new elements into the successful Read to Me program.

These Family Workshops involve young children and their parents in learning the early literacy skills in fun-filled ways.
