If you are a library director/manager/point of contact for all things OCLC, and your library currently participates in our statewide resource-sharing agreement, you should have received a link to the renewal survey for ShareIdaho, Idaho’s group services agreement with OCLC. If you did not receive the survey link and think you should have, please let me know. Please note we are asking everyone to indicate their intention to renew or not renew this year, so please complete the survey! If your library is interested in participating in ShareIdaho and is not currently enrolled, please reach out to me by Friday, April 19.

The deadline for making changes to your subscription is Friday, May 31, but with the new cost-share structure, we’d like to lock down renewal pricing for each library as soon as possible. With this in mind, we are asking that you complete the renewal survey by Friday, April 19, so we can send official renewal letters by the end of April 2024.

Your library will be billed directly by OCLC, typically in early August. Please send your payments to them. Billing options are available: annual, semiannual, quarterly, or monthly. Please advise which option you prefer, and please also be advised that these options will not alter the July 1st renewal date (and commencement of the new billing cycle), regardless of the billing option selected.

The current cost-share was first introduced in 2017 as part of the initial 5-year agreement with OCLC. There have been annual increases from OCLC that existing cost-share dues have been unable to keep pace with. As mentioned, fiscal year 2025 marks the first year of the new cost-share structure, so you will see significant adjustments to your billing amounts this year. If you would like to see your estimated cost prior to official renewal letters, please contact Marina Rose. For additional information regarding ShareIdaho participation options and fee structures, as well as for training and support, please visit our website: http://libraries.idaho.gov/shareidaho. You can also register for our E-Services Road Show in April, which will include training on OCLC Interlibrary Loan and Cataloging tools.

Please feel free to contact me at marina.rose@libraries.idaho.gov with any questions or ShareIdaho program feedback you may have. Thank you for your participation and ongoing support of a solid resource-sharing network in Idaho.
