The Idaho Commission for Libraries is pleased to announced that the 2019 edition of the Idaho Library Districting Handbook is now available.
It can be accessed:
- from the Trustee page — under District Library Elections and at the top of the page: https://libraries.idaho.gov/governance-and-administration/,
- from the ICfL homepage under General Public: https://libraries.idaho.gov/, or
- directly at https://libraries.idaho.gov/governance-and-administration/districting-handbook/.
The new Handbook consists of chapters, worksheets, and information sheets in PDF format that can be downloaded or printed as needed. There is also a new graphic to help the reader visualize the basics of the districting process. This publication is designed to help answer questions about library districting in Idaho and to help make library districting projects more efficient. We trust you will find it useful.
This publication will be a work in progress, so please let us know of any errors, omissions, or suggestions for improvement that you would like to share.
Please feel free to contact your ICfL area field consultant with questions about districting: https://libraries.idaho.gov/about/staff/.
I would like to thank the many ICfL staff members who made this publication possible. Thanks for your design skills, your proofreading skills, and your patience during the process of converting this print publication to a more manageable electronic format. This was truly a group effort.
