The May issue of The Scoop is full of resources for programming, summer reading, outreach, and ways to support kids and families. Many of you are beginning to reopen for limited services, and we hope you’ll contact us with your updated service status, and whether you can now receive deliveries, as we have summer reading posters and other materials to send you. See your current library status on our Covid-19 website under “Library Closures.”

The Scoop - April, 2020
Even a pandemic can’t the library youth services world down. If you are craving a bit of normalcy during strange times, check out the April edition of The Scoop. As always, we bring tips and tools to help you serve families in your community, along with a few special resources that might help while your buildings are closed. We’ve also included important info about current and upcoming ICfL programs (spoiler – we can’t mail anything out right now), and links to lots of great professional development opportunities. If you were able to join us earlier this week for a state-wide chat on virtual storytimes, we’ve included a link to the video and chat notes. Finally, the entire ICfL Youth Services staff would like to extend an invitation to anyone to connect with us one-on-one via Zoom. We can help you strategize how to serve your communities during the pandemic, or just chat – please reach out if you want to talk.
Take care, stay safe, wash your hands.
